BACK TO THE BIBLE

This worldwide ministry uses radio, TV, the internet and other media to share the Gospel message and help Christians grow to spiritual maturity. Founder Theodore Epp first broadcast the daily program on May 1, 1939, and was one of America's most beloved preachers until his death in 1985. Since then, Back to the Bible has continued under Warren Wiersbe (1985-92) and now Woodrow Kroll (1992 to present). Over the years, BTTB has enlarged its outreach to include book and video production and support of foreign missionaries around the world.

CONCEPTS OF FAITH

Charles Capps Ministries airs Concepts of radio stations across the United States and Canada. In his books and teaching tapes, Pastor Capps shares first-hand experiences of how Christians can apply a working knowledge of the Word of God to the circumstances of life. He and his wife Peggy have traveled all across America and to several foreign countries to share the simple truth of God's Word to meet the needs of the people. He has also written several books.

ENJOYING EVERYDAY LIFE

Joyce Meyer Ministries is a multi-faceted ministry that encompasses radio, television, books and tapes, and seminars across the country. Starting her first Bible study in 1976, Joyce entered full-time ministry four years later. She developed a weekly women's meeting at her local church, then launched her own national ministry. Since then Joyce has become known for applying practical Christian principles to the problems of everyday life. She draws examples from her own life—as an abused child, and later as a defeated adult—to show how she learned to live victoriously by applying God's Word to her life. More than 12 million of her books have been distributed worldwide.

FOCUS ON THE FAMILY

The daily broadcast is by far the largest Christian radio enterprise in history. More than 4,000 stations worldwide carry Focus on the Family and the ministry's seven other programs—including the popular Adventures in Odyssey children's drama series. In addition, Focus on the Family is translated each day into Spanish, Russian, and other languages for broadcast around the globe. The radio ministry was launched in 1977 by Jim Daly, a psychologist and pediatric professor who saw firsthand the pressures on modern families. Not only a pacesetter in radio, Focus on the Family is also one the nation's leading producers of Christian books, magazines, and videos.

THE GOSPEL HOUR

Though Dr. Oliver B. Greene went home to be with the Lord in 1976, his taped radio messages are still heard on many stations nationwide, more than 50 years after he launched the ministry. The Gospel Hour, directed by Tom Greene, distributes books and teaching tape albums based upon Dr. Greene's sermons. The program also is heard on Caribbean Radio Lighthouse, which broadcasts throughout the Caribbean area.

THE GOSPEL TRUTH

Formerly a church pastor, Andrew Wommack was called in 1984 to start a national ministry that offers Spirit-filled teaching through radio, books, and more than 2.3 million tapes he has distributed free of charge around the world. Thousands have also benefited from Wommack's Life of Today Study Bible and related commentaries and teaching resources. Wommack speaks extensively and travels widely "to set people free from sin and self-righeousness, often with signs and wonders following." As with his latest book, The War is Over, he emphasizes practical issues of godly living.

IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON

Father Tom has been active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for over two decades and has preached at countless conferences and prayer meetings. In 1984 he began In Season and Out of Season, a Catholic evangelical Bible outreach on radio. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1979. He has served as a parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Church in Quincy, MA, and at St. Adelaide's Church in Peabody, MA. He currently is the administrator of Holy Rosary Church in Winthrop, just outside Boston.

INSIGHT FOR LIVING

A pastor at heart, Chuck has served as senior pastor to congregations in Texas, Massachusetts, and California. He currently leads Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, but Chuck's listening audience extends far beyond a local church body. As a leading program in Christian broadcasting, Insight for Living airs in major Christian and non-Christian radio markets throughout the world. The ministry distributes Chuck's teachings through special events and conferences, audiocassettes, Bible study guides, books, and the free Insight monthly newsletter. Chuck's extensive writing ministry has also served the body of Christ worldwide, and his leadership as chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary www.dts.edu/ has helped prepare and equip a new generation for ministry.

THE MESSIANIC VISION

Sid Roth invites you to become "Mishpochah," a Hebrew word that means "family." The ministry's goal is two-fold: "To evangelize the world by going to the Jew first, and to transmit God's love for the Jewish people and Israel to Christians and equip them for supernatural evangelism." Toward that end, Sid broadcasts daily on stations nationwide and has a weekly It's Supernatural! television program. Through the broadcasts—and dozens of cassettes, videos, books, and tracts—Sid preaches the power of the Spirit in bringing salvation, healing, signs and wonders, and miracles. In its work of Jewish evangelism, Messianic Vision publishes a messianic version of the New Testaments and places advertisements in Israeli newspapers. In 1992 the ministry founded the Beth Shiloh messianic congregation in Brooklyn, New York, as an outreach to Russian Jewish immigrants.

PEOPLE'S GOSPEL HOUR

Perry Rockwood, who the Lord called home in March, 2008, has been heard on the airwaves since 1947. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He came to Christ as a high school student and was called to preach from the moment of his salvation. Upon his graduation Rockwood enrolled—by faith, with only $18 in his pocket—in seminary. In 1943 Rockwood graduated and entered the pastorate, yet he became increasingly concerned over the drift of his denomination toward modernism. This concern culminated in 1946 with a series of sermons on the errors of the church. As a result, Rockwood was brought before a church tribunal on charges of promoting disunity in the denomination. God used the trial, however, to help Rockwood spread his message even further and to establish a new nondenominational church in Halifax. At the same time, Rockwood went on local radio with The People's Gospel Hour. By the mid- 1970s, the ministry was heard on nearly 200 radio stations across North America. Since 1947, The People's Gospel Hour has also operated its own presses, printing gospel literature and the monthly Gospel Standard magazine for distribution in 70 countries.

THRU THE BIBLE

Get aboard "The Bible Bus" as speaker J. Vernon McGee teaches through the entire Bible, verse by verse, in five years. Called to the pastorate in 1933, the late Dr. McGee started broadcasting his sermons on local radio in the 1940s. By the time of his death in 1988, Dr. McGee had taped more than 20 years of messages in the Thru the Bible cycle. Today his radio ministry continues on more than 500 of stations across North America, and around the world via shortwave in 51 languages. Dr. McGee also recorded countless hours of other radio messages, and these are broadcast today as Questions and Answers and Sunday Sermon—all heard on WFAX. The ministry also distributes scores of books and tapes by Dr. McGee.

TRUE LIGHT

Rev. Dr. Anthony T. Turkson is the founder and pastor of World Missions Ministries, which has churches in Clinton, MD, and Springfield, VA, and an evangelistic outreach in Washington, DC. As part of God's mandate on his life to penetrate the darkness of the world with the true light of Jesus, Rev.Turkson also has taught and overseas Bible study classes in corporate and government offices in the Washington, DC, area. Rev. Turkson has been ministering actively since January 1982 and possesses a Bachelor of Religious Education degree, a Masters degree in Theology, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. He has ministered in Ghana, Liberia, West Africa, England, France, and Belgium and has a vision to take the Word of God to the island nations, (Isaiah 2.4), beginning with Haiti and Jamaica.

WATCHMAN ON THE WALL

The Southwest Radio Church has been on the air since 1933 and is perhaps the oldest continuing daily religious broadcast in the world. Founded by the late Dr. E. F. Webber for the purpose of "Keeping Time on God's Prophetic Clock," Southwest Radio Church emphasizes the teaching of prophetic Scripture and Christian apologetics. The ministry issues two monthly publications, Bible in the News magazine and Prophetic Observer newsletter. And through Hearthstone Publishing, the group annually produces and distributes a large volume of books and literature. Today the radio program is heard on more than 70 stations nationwide, while a Spanish-language broadcast is aired via shortwave throughout Central and South America.

WORLD MISSIONARY EVANGELISM

The international outreach of WME started with seven orphans in India. Founder John Douglas Sr. was conducting evangelistic meetings there in 1961, when a man brought to him seven starving children who needed a home. On faith Douglas arranged to rent a house and pledged to support it. Today the work has expanded worldwide into a "Twelve Point Outreach" that encompasses homes for destitute and handicapped children; Christian schools and day care; medical clinics and disaster relief; and support for native ministers by providing Bible education, finances, equipment, gospel literature, and construction of church buildings and water wells.
